The Terrell County Animal Shelter focuses on getting as many animals out of the shelter as possible.
Rescue, Adoption and Owner Recovery is the foundational principal that drives toward our goal.
We strive to keep the number of animals we have to euthanize as low as we possibly can in a city environment. Although we are not a “no kill” facility, this goal is paramount to what we do here. The Terrell County Animal Shelter works to unite owners with their lost pets and to promote animal adoption and rescue of healthy, unclaimed, unwanted, stray and abandoned pets within the city limits of Sanderson. The City of Sanderson can not pick up or house animals from outside the city limits.
